Quarter Wind Up

Well my first quarter is winding down to an end.  I have two more finals to power thru then it's the much anticipated break. This will come with a wave of posts on the Video Games Blog, over Borderlands 2 of course, and a couple ones on this one over my trip to D.C. As of what's going on now I'm at Indy's annual Rib Fest. I've listened to Duke Tomato and am now enjoying the sound of Eddie Money, or is it Munny...Kingdom Hearts joke. ;) But what I'm really waiting for is to get my funk on with Parliament! Aaaaaaawwww yeah!
Then tomorrow be me madre's birthday. Joy
Then Sunday I got the annual Labor Day family get together. Mmmmmmmmmh smoked turkey....oh and family time....which is eating time. Mwahahahaha!!!!!
Then I have Labor Day and the following Tuesday off, then a final on Wednesday, another on Thursday, then glorious, glorious  break.

Here We Go

Today is my practical final and I, of course, woke up multiple times during the night. So now I have to work while I'm tired. Nothing really new there except this time, me passing the class depends on it. :( I am undoubtedly nervous. I know I can do everything in the final, I just don't know if I can do it all fast enough.
I hope I can do it. Well I'm gonna rest my eyes before Info Lit starts.

It's Gonna Be One of Those Days

By "One of Those Days" I mean a downer day. First, I get dropped off at the Bakery (Sullivan University site) where my locker is at. So I get my stuff and walk across Bardstown Road to get my Info Lit class. Normal day right? Only one problem, this girl walks up to wait at the crosswalk with me, and like every other student here, she was smoking, and the wind was blowing towards me, and it takes 3-5 minutes for the light to change. Then after it changes, I of course have to cross the street with her, but as soon as I made it across the street Islowed waaaaay down. But unfortunately, that didn't help. My chest was hurting as I walked in. Thankfully it's gone now.
Then I walked into my classroom to find that the AC is gone again and it's an awful 85 degrees in here. Am I in purgatory? Did I pass away in my sleep? Wow. Who knew God took the whole "If I die before I wake I pray thee Lord my soul to take" thing so seriously. LOL Just kidding.

Oh and it's the most humid heat I've been in since my trip to California this summer. So I'm swimming in the heat.

Presentation

Today is my presentation in Info Lit over the most recent twin earthquakes in Iran. I hope it goes well. My partner has done his part and wrote a paper so it looks like it's going to go well.
Also today there may be a chance that I'll do my practical final in Culinary. Wish me luck on that one!

GenCon was cool but I don't know if I liked the tea. As in it is my cup of tea but it was like herbal tea to me, as in I can't have for 4 days in a row. It's either my introverted-ness that turned me off to it, or that I like electronic gaming a lot more than classical gaming.
I don't know but I do know I'm craving to play D'n'D but none of friends are D'n'D dorks. Why am I so cool!!!! Just kiddin' except for the part that no one I know plays it.
Oh what bitter irony.

And so it has come. My first convention of gaming and geekdom. I'm quite excited. But I'm still not sure what all I'm supposed to do there. Well I'm just gonna go with the flow and see what's just around the river bend. But it better not be Pocahantus cuz she's just to mainstream! WAKA WAKA!!!!!!
Well maybe I'll finally get ome D'n'D stuff cuz I haven't gone down that road yet. And I'm not sure why because my favorite movie is about people playing D'n'D. That movie is The Gamers: Dorkness Rising.

What's Going On

Iran Earthquakes

On Saturday (Aug. 11) Iran was hit with 2 earthquakes mesuring at 6.3 and 6.4. If you don't know waht that means: it means they were small city busters. I'm going to be giving a report on this in my info lit class with a fellow basic culinary classmate.

Alka Blessed Guard

Today I awoke at 3 am with an awful stomach ache. :( After hours of home remedies: scalding shower to relax my abdomen, pain pills, and attempting a bm; I flocked to the C Store, now the C Store does not open on weekdays till 8...when I would be at school. But there was a security guard there to keep out the riff-raff. I begged...like a baby...for alka seltzer.
Well not really I asked like a man in pain. He was kind enough to grab me a pack and take the 1.89 tender. He even had a dime and a penny for me.
God bless that security guard. I could not thank him enough.

The rest is like the old commercial: drop, drop, fizz, fizz, oh what a relief it is!
Then I had some Lucky Charms and I was off.

That means it is my public journal. Whenever I have something random to write down I'll bring it here for you all to see.

So you might not see a new post for a while or you might see 3 in one day. And they could be about anything within my day. So I might be ranting to get the anger out or I could even write short stories.

They must be the most gloriously delicious desert ever! In the whole yummy history of deserts of all time! FOREVER! THE END!

I mean everyone likes fruit. If you don't your name is Lucifer, middle name Beelzebub...Bettlebob..bettleborg? You know what I mean. :3

I mean fruit is nature's desert. Then it's all on top of custard. Cuz you need the fatteningness and deliciosoness of it. Then you have it all in a crust to keep from looking like a baby stuffing your custard-fruit hole.
